You may not know Sudhir Choudhrie, but you should. Sudhir is the founder of Muckrack, a company that helps people track coverage about themselves online. Sudhir Choudhrie’s story is one for the books – he was born in India and grew up in Uganda before immigrating to Canada at age 18. Sudhir has risen to become an influential figure within corporate and social circles, with his experience as a CEO of Bloomberg TV Canada being just one example of this success.
Sudhir Choudhrie was born in Kanpur, India, on July 14th, 1966, as the youngest child out of four to mother Saroj and FatherRamachandra. His family were initially wheat farmers but moved into textiles following a very turbulent period during which they lost their land due to flooding. At age 18, Sudhir immigrated to Canada and worked as a waiter at the age of 18. Sudhir Choudhrie went on to study finance and earned an MBA from Concordia University, followed by a law degree from McGill University.
Sudhir developed his career in banking before moving into real estate, media and telecommunications with substantial investments across all sectors, including but not limited to engineering software, telecom infrastructure etc. Sudhir is also known for being very outspoken about social issues, especially female empowerment, education opportunities for women improving their lives through access to technology, healthcare, financial independence, entrepreneurship, increasing awareness amongst men to be better role models and more
Sudhir Choudhrie has been profiled on numerous occasions by global publications such as Forbes for his work within business circles. He was also honoured at a special reception hosted by Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He was recognized as one of 12 top Montrealer’s who have contributed significantly to society – upholding Canadian values while creating economic prosperity both here and abroad. In 2016 Sudhir received the Award from the International.
