Blatt was born on November 18, 1970 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He began to have an interest in technology at an early age. He has credited his parents, who were school teachers, with not only guiding his interest in technology but also pushing him to make it a career choice. Over the course of two years, he went on to work for Skadden Arps and then became an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Now, Greg Blatt works as a chairman and CEO of Tinder. Blatt has risen from the obscurity of a poor upbringing to the admiration of the highest corporate circles.
